TIRANA, Aug 28 – Activits of the MJAFT non-governmental organization held a protest Monday to protest against the lack of water supply and the failed promises of the government. Majft activitists gathered in front of the Minsitry of Public Affairs, Transport and Telecommunciation banging the empty water bottles at a time when it was raining. They complained also for the lack of the health care as a result of which a considerable number of Tirana citizens were infected with Hepaptitis A virus in the last two months.
MJAFT said that Albania is considered as the second best country in Europe for water resources, after Finland, but that is not felt by the citizens who regularly do not have it. Referring to a World Bank report, they said 80 percent of albanian families did not have water supply to their houses.
