Moisiu meets with USAID head

TIRANA, Dec. 5 – Albanian President Alfred Moisiu met on Tuesday with the head of the USAID mission in Albania, Edward Landau, to discuss different topics related to his institution’s involvement in Albania. Moisiu evaluated highly the USAID and U.S. government’s assistance in Albania’s efforts to become integrated into the Euro-Atlantic institutions, as well as in democratic life in the country, strengthening of local institutions and development of the economic, social, tourist and agricultural businesses here. Moisiu said that USAID assistance in the justice reforms was of high importance. Landau assured Moisiu of USAID’s continuous support and informed him of a series of projects planned for Albania.
