TIRANA, Jan. 15 – Speaking at the annual ceremony with the diplomatic corps in Albania President Alfred Moisiu mentioned the two important issues for his country last year: the signing of the Stabilization and Association Agreement and the positive signal from NATO at the Riga summit. As expected he also spoke about the recent political crisis and its solution. “It is important that important decisions were taken at the institutions, solutions to the political crisis were channeled through institutions, reference of the solution were the law and the constitution and citizens themselves are testifying an increased public trust at the institutions,” he said. “There would be no space for crisis if there would be real dialogue and political cooperation between the majority and the opposition.” “Local elections are a good opportunity to testify that Albania will make steps ahead so that all energies will be directed to the realization of the important projects for the country’s overall development,” he added.
