TIRANA, Dec. 27 – The State Labor Inspectorate has concluded that there is a trend of an increased number of under 18 years old children working in the country. That is made after their documents are falsified at the identity card. Private sector has employed 0.82 percent of its staff from children, which is one in 100 workers, according to inspectorate head Thoma Mico. Tailor factories, shoe-made ones and hotels are the places that employ children under that age more than others. Last weekend a 16 year old girl died while working in a shoe factory in Durres. The factory owner has already been arrested. Mico said that private businessmen did not respect the labor legislation. (Tirana Times Staff)
