TIRANA, June 12 – Albania has signed a deal with China that will further promote the small Balkan country as a destination for Chinese tourists. The deal signed this week by Albania’s Tourism Ministry Aldo Bumci and Chinese Ambassador to Albania Ye Hao, foresees facilitating procedures on visa procedures for Chinese tourists and assistance to Chinese travel groups.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Minister Bumci also announced an exhibition promoting Albanian tourism would be held in China in the frame of Albania’s 100th anniversary of independence.
The Chinese embassy in Albania is already assisting with the translation of promotional materials into Chinese. Expressing readiness to further boost cooperation, Chinese Ambassador Ye Hao said further opportunities exist in the cultural and business areas.
With an estimated 70 million tourists a year leaving China, another opportunity is created for Albanian tourism.
