The research was made known Monday, Nov. 26 celebrated as the world’s day against women’s violence.
The research showed that roughly one-third of the Albanian women suffer any form of violence in the family. All representatives of the civic organizations and also some lawmakers, including parliament Speaker Jozefina Topalli and opposition Socialist parliamentary group leader Valentina Leskaj, appealed to the women to denounce the violence against them. A real equality in the Albanian society would be the main thing to eliminate the violence against women. But that is normally linked with a stable development of the country in general.
