TIRANA, Dec. 29 – Albanian Foreign Minister Besnik Mustafaj met Friday last week with leader of the Reformist Party Ora Veton Surroi to talk about the recent developments in Kosova ahead of the final report on its status. U.N. Envoy former Finish President Martti Ahtisaari will present his suggestion, recommendation on Kosova’s future at the end this month after elections in Serbia. Both officials aid that at these moments it is obligatory that Kosova’s political class be united and present themselves in one. That also includes strengthening the rule of law, fulfillment of the procedures, and respect of the minorities’ rights and the prospect of Kosova’s economic development. They also said that Kosova people should present maturity and self-reluctance. Mustafaj also asked Surroi that the Kosova political leaders exercise their influence in the Preseva Valley population in southern Serbia so that they take part in the elections in Serbia Jan. 20 considering that an important step to their interest and a valuable contribution for Kosova’s independence, for peace and stability in the region.
