TIRANA, Dec. 29 – The Mjaft! Non-governmental organization distributed gifts to hundreds of Roma children in the capital Tirana and also organized a lunch ceremony at a Mother’s Heart center created from the Roma businessman Selvie Rushiti. Other ceremonies were held during the lunch. Participants were among those hundreds of Roma children who may often be seen in all the capital’s crossroads either begging, or trying to wash car windows for petty cash. The Roma community is in difficult economic conditions as many of them have not found any job and survive on begging. They become a prime target for illegal human trafficking.
