VLORA, Sept.25- By the end of December, the water supply problems of the largest city in the south, Vlora, an important trade port and tourism site, are expected to be over. The summer season has been very difficult with supplies at their lowest levels and the increase in the number of visitors added to the water problems. The head of the aqueducts has announced that in December the construction of a new system will begin, given that the necessary funds have been allocated as the result of an agreement between the Council of Ministers and the Norwegian government.
The allocated 13 million euros for the rehabilitation of the water supply system in Vlora aims to provide a 24 hour water supply capacity. However, the investment does not solve the pollution problem that is apparent in some of the Vlora neighborhoods.
