TIRANA, July 13 – Head of the OSCE’s Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights mission in Albania Audrey Glover made a meeting with head of the Central Elections Commission Arben Ristani Monday.
The media was not let known about the meeting and there was no statement or press release after the meeting.
That may be a normal meeting as the international observers are staying in the country to follow the electoral process to the last minute, the final results.
People are curious to learn what was the talk between the two officials about.
Last weekend it was U.S. Ambassador to Tirana John L. Withers who met with Ristani. Again there was no statement after that.
What outsiders could say is that the international community is interested in and also trying to ‘exert pressure’ on the Albanian authorities to conduct themselves well, or in other words, to behave themselves and respect the law.
