Parliamentary commission passes law on paying old Greek loan

TIRANA, Jan 26 – The parliamentary economic commission has passed a draft law on the ratification of an old loan from Greece.
The loan agreement was signed last December with the Bank of Greece for the payment of some $7.5 million taken by the former communist regime in 1987. The original loan was for $3 million loan with an additional $4.5 million accrued since then.
The loan has been rescheduled to be paid in 10 installments.
