In the administrative units of Dajç and Ana e Malit, the floods have become the new normality. After 41 days, a total of 4,390 hectares of land continue to be underwater in the whole region of Shkodra. For this reason, the Municipality of Shkodra has made an official request to the Albanian government to proclaim the state of natural emergency for the two above-mentioned administrative units. Only in Ana e Malit, 1200 hectares are still underwater, and the situation is worse in the villages of Obot, Muriqan, Oblikë, Velinaj and Shtuf. In some villages, such as Obot, the level of water continues to be around 140 centimeters in the houses yards, while the road of Obot is still blocked, with the level of water reported to be around 90 centimeters.
In Dajç, the agricultural land under water is around 1,700 hectares. Some of worst hit villages in this unit are Mushan, Shirq, Suka-Dajç, Belaj, Rrushkull, Samrish i Ri, Darragjat. Even here some roads connecting different villages are blocked or need bigger vehicles to be traversed, such as the road between Shirq and Darragjat, where the level of water is reported to be around 140 centimeters, or the road between Belaj and Pentar.
Velipja, Bërdica and Guri i Zi are also suffering from the floods. Overall, according to the reports, 640 tons of support in food for livestock are required in the most hit areas.
