Police arrest alleged human smugglers

TIRANA, July 5 – Police have arrested several Albanian citizens who helped other people illegally cross the border in exchange of money.
Kamer Vishaj, 47, was arrested following intensive investigation of his alleged crime. He was arrested in southeastern Devoll area near the Greek border where he was trying to take two persons on the other side in Greece He had asked for 400 euros from each of them.
In another operation police arrested two persons — Muhamet Sako, 50, and declared Muhamer Sefedini, 49, at large for asking for 1,000 euro from any person who wanted to cross the Greek border.
