Police block smuggled goods

TIRANA, Oct. 29 – A police operation codenamed Poldota questioned 25 different persons for allegedly trafficking illegal mobile phone sets. Police also collected 243 phone sets, 827 recharge units, 413 different phone set accessories, a camera, a photo camera and 10 cars used to illegally sell the goods. It was discovered that only three out of 25 persons were legally registered. They were fined 40,000 lek for trading goods without a bill. The others are under investigation and are trying to explain how the smuggled goods had entered the country.
