Police head seeks closer ties with Macedonia

TIRANA, Dec. 19 – State Police chief Artan Didi and other police officials made a visit to neighboring Macedonia where they met with their counterparts, which was part of the meeting held by both ministries some months ago.
The two police officials talked on issues that are also requirements asked from the European Union, where both countries aim to be part one day.
They also discussed on how to guarantee security in the region, create a better climate for the movement of the people there, increase the cooperation and contacts, and upgrade exchange of information and many other bilateral issues. They also discussed on joint operations to fight all kinds of illegal traffic and also how to intensify cooperation with other international joint partners.
