Police in intensive anti-crime operations

TIRANA, Jan. 10 – Tirana police reported they have been committed to a series of operations during the first days this year in an effort to crack down on different forms of crime in the capital.
A police statement said they had arrested 55 persons on different charges, including 23 who were at large.
Road police have also intensified their checks fining some 7,140 drivers for use of alcohol or violating the traffic rules.
