Police stops alleged mineral thieves

BULQIZA, March 31 – Police reported they had arrested a group of people who in cooperation with each other stole chromium ore in the northern town of Bulqiza.
Eight persons from 20 to 33 years old were arrested and there was an arrest warrant issued for another one.
Following a two-month investigation they are accused of stealing some 1,000 tons of chromium ore valued at 400 million leks. That was taken at gallery N. 48 that is owned by the Albanian Krom company.
