Police trains officers for election process

TIRANA, Dec. 11 – The Arben Zylyftari police academy started Monday a two-day training of for senior officers around the country on how to operate during the local elections. A second session was held Thursday, Friday. Police chief Bajram Ibraj said that holding free and fair elections was a priority for police forces along the country’s efforts of integration into the European Union. Police were aware they will have more concerning problems during the election period. Ibraj said that police should show they are not politically affiliated to any grouping and that they fully respect the laws.
