TIRANA, May 31 – Police reported they had arrested a police officer in the Fieri district.
Vasil Ristani was arrested for compiling fake proof, testimony on a grave criminal case bringing about the innocence of the alleged author of the crime.
Ristani was charged with passive corruption and was also fired from the post he held at the Fieri police.
Internal police investigation is continuing to find possible other cases of involvement or cooperation with Ristani on such cases.
