Power company’s officials arrested for abuse and deceit

TIRANA, Sep. 5 – Police arrested two technicians working with the CEZ power distribution company in the country for illegally using their capacities to help people pay less for their power in return for financial compensation.
The two employees worked in Tirana.
They are suspected of entering the power meters reducing the consumption numbers for a bribe of with 20,000-30,000 lek.
In another operation, a lawyer was accused of deceiving people. Following a four-month investigation it was found that she had taken more than 100,000 Euros from a person and promised him a place to build a flat, which she never did.
