TIRANA, Sept. 17 – The first direct charter flight between Prague and Tirana operated by Polish Enter Air company has taken place at the Tirana International Airport, confirming the rising popularity of Albania as a tourist destination in the Czech Republic. The weekly service which is scheduled to operate on Fridays brought some 170 tourists on the first flight from Prague, eager to enjoy Albania’s beaches and its wonderful landscapes, said the TIA airport.
The charter flight will operate a Boeing 737 for the new route, which brings to 25 the number of foreign destinations reached by direct flight from Tirana.
“The start of direct charter flights proves increasing popularity of Albania as a tourist destination for Czech citizens that visit Albania for its natural beauties (mainly mountains and sea shore) as well as its cultural heritage,” says the Czech embassy in a statement.
