Presevo valley officials visit Tirana

TIRANA, March 31 – Ethnic Albanian officials from outside the country met with top Albanian officials this week. Representing the Presevo Valley in southern Serbia, Riza Halimi of the Democratic Action Party, Ragmi Mustafa of the Albanian Democratic Party, Adnan Salihi of the Presevo commune administration and Merxhan Memishi of the Albanian National Movement, visited Albania to meet with top officials, including Prime Minister Sali Berisha and Foreign Minister Lulzim Basha.
The situation in the Presevo Valley, Serbia, Kosova and beyond were the main topics of discussions. Albanian officials urged their brethren in Serbia to take part in general elections expected to be held May 11 and they were urged to remain united so they would have a voice in the parliament.
