TIRANA, April 5 – Former Economy Minister Dritan Prifti, who broadcast an alleged corrupted-related video, said he possessed more of them but he would keep them hidden because he was afraid of his life.
Prifti’s video in January caused the resignation of deputy prime minister Ilir Meta, also leader of the Socialist Movement for Integration, a small leftist political grouping which is part of the governing center-right coalition.
Following that the opposition resumed protests, one of which, Jan. 21 was violent and four protesters were shot dead.
the prosecutors found another video at Prifti’s laptop which allegedly accused him of corruption.
The parliament has lifted the immunity for both Meta and Prifti.
Both Prifti and Meta, who have been indicted on corruption charges, have denied any wrongdoing.
the protests following Prifti’s video significantly raised the tension in the country.
Prifti said at an interview with a local newspaper that he had more videos, even more accusing, but he would keep them secret. He accused certain segments which used the same method to attack him.

Dritan Prifti said for the weekly magazine, Mapo, that he possesses other videos. these ones are more terrific than the video that he published for the leader of the Socialist Movement for Integration, Ilir Meta.
During an interview in which he comments on recent political developments in the country, he has discussed also the latest investigations of corruption, due to which he has no immunity and is under investigation.
The proclamation of Prifti, for more serious videos of state corruption, even higher than that of former Deputy Meta, would be an alert to the political situation in the country, if Prifti would allow their publication.
Former Minister of Economy and Energy states that there is no guarantee that these videos will not be used against him, so he is determined not to publish them ever
The recent tension between Edi Rama’s Socialists and the ruling majority of Prime Minister Berisha has aggravated an already poisoned political climate which has been in a troubled state since the disputed June 2009 parliamentary elections.
A victory at the local elections on May 8 would strengthen the Democrats’ grip on power, while opposition victory would be seen as a vindication of Socialist claims of 2009 election fraud.
