Meanwhile, the production and distribution of electricity, gas and water dropped 16.3 percent year-on-year.
PPI for domestic products registered a 2.4 percent growth compared to the second quarter mainly because of higher prices in the processing industry which were up 4.1 percent.
The export price index dropped by 2.5 percent mainly because of lower prices in the extractive, processing and food and drink production industries.
The index measuring the average change in selling prices received by domestic producers of goods and services over time, showed PPI in the second quarter of 2010 increased by 0.3 percent compared to the first quarter and 0.2 percent year-on-year.
