Rama receives pledge to make Tirana-Rome twin cities

TIRANA, Jan. 30 – Socialist leader and Tirana Mayor Edi Rama paid a brief visit to Rome, Italy to meet with Italian Foreign Minister, Rome Mayor and politicians. During the meeting with Massimo D’Alema Rama insisted that Italy should continue to promote the Corridor 8 project which is very important for Albania. In his meeting with Valter Veltroni of Rome mayorship Rama discussed on similar challenges they face in both capitals and also on declaring both capitals as twins. As expected, the visit was more a show of the political support the political party enjoys abroad.
