TIRANA, April 14 – Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama headed a delegation visiting the United Arab Emirates where he met with all top leaders.
Crown Prince Mohammed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan met with Rama to discuss regional and international developments and exchange viewpoints on issues of mutual interest.
They talked on how to bolster economic and trade cooperation.
The two countries also signed an agreement and memorandum of understanding exempting holders of diplomatic and special passports from having to apply for entry visas.
They also sealed a cooperation environment agreement.
Sheikh Mohamed expressed the hope that his visit would contribute in furthering ties of friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
He added the UAE was looking forward to exchange views on the best means for fruitful cooperation and for realizing the common goal of creating partnerships, benefiting from the potentials available in the two countries.
Rama discussed on ways of strengthening cooperation and praised the progress made by the UAE in different areas.
During the visit, Rama also took part at the Forum of Investment organized by the Abu Dabi Chamber of Commerce with business representatives from trade, tourism, transport, manufacturing, agriculture, construction and financial service areas.
Rama told the business community about opportunies foreign investors have t in Albania.
Tirana is preparing a new law on foreign investment in another effort to attract more of them.
Rama made special offers for drinking water, tourism and agriculture.
UAE is one of the world’s wealthiest countries.
