Reflecting on women in Albania instead of a well-deserved party

By Alba à‡ela The beginning of the month of March in Albania brings along with the new season two important holidays, 7 and 8 of March respectively Teachers’ Day and Women’s Day. And since a large majority of teachers are women it turns into a two-day party of flowers, speeches and parties for women, by women and mainly with women. Indeed women deserve to get the attention, appreciation and special treatment for the heroic venture they carry out every day: surviving and being successful in a country where they face many obstacles.
