TIRANA, Jan. 16 – The Center for Transparency and Free Information made known Tuesday results of an investigation research study on the properties of the senior officials. It concluded that many of them hide their real property, exploit the public funding to get loans and also abuse with the property statement. The nongovernmental organization conducted a study starting from April 2006 for some 64 senior officials, also former senior officials. In that number there were 23 parliamentarians, 11 ministers and 10 former ministers. They did not make public their names but said all the files would be sent to the prosecutor office. Albanian politicians are not poor at all they said, and the average property and other assets they posses is about half a million dollars.
