TIRANA, Aug. 30 – Health Minister Tomica Milosavljević and his Albanian counterpart Petrit Vasili reached an agreement on cooperation between the two countries’ hospitals.
Cooperation would begin between Serbian and Albanian hospitals and health care institutions based on the memorandum of understanding signed in Belgrade in July.
“We have agreed that the two countries’ health institutions should do everything in their power in order to launch direct cooperation, and this primarily refers to the public health institutions,” Milosavljević told the Tanjug news agency.
He said that the Serbian delegation visited the Institute of Public Health in Tirana on Friday and the University Hospital Center Mother Teresa, the largest one in Albania, and pointed out that cooperation with the Clinical Center of Serbia has been arranged.
Milosavljević and Serbian State Secretary in the Ministry of Health Nevena Karanović were on a two-day visit to Albania as guest of the Albanian Ministry of Health.
