U.S. Ambassador Arvizu inaugurates New York Tirana Bagels
TIRANA, May 24 נU.S. Ambassador to Tirana Alexander Arvizu inaugurated last week the first bagel shop in Albania – New York Tirana Bagels. All profits from this shop, created as a social business by a group of Albanian and American volunteers, will go to supporting vulnerable women and children in Albania.
The embassy said its Public Affairs Office is among the many organizations and individuals that have generously supported this initiative.
“When you come here to eat, you can feel good twice: you will enjoy the unique and distinctly American taste of the bagel; and you will also feel good knowing that you have helped women and children in need,” said Ambassador Arvizu as he addressed the participants at the ceremony.
