TIRANA, Nov. 23 – Deputy Head of the High Council of Justice Kreshnik Spahiu says judges in four district courts have showed lack of professionalism in treating some main cases, like murder, abuse of post and corruption.
Spahiu said that his office checked 30 courts with some 360 judges resulting in deficiencies due to lack of proper professional capacities.
Spahiu did not mention names of the judges saying that would affect their daily work until the justice minister initiated the disciplinary steps against them.
Spahiu said that the cases they had checked were of a main importance, like murder, abuse of post and corruption.
The council is the country’s supreme public legal institution which is headed by the country’s president.
