TIRANA, Feb. 9 – Abuses by central and local government institutions are estimated to have cost Albanian taxpayers about €534 million in the past four years, the Supreme State Audit has unveiled in inspections carried out in 2016. The identified abuses involve financial violations in income and spending at about €188 million and failure to apply financial discipline with a negative impact of about €346 million in the audited institutions.
