TIRANA, Dec 21 – Police have increased the number of people arrested for murder or attempted murder.
In a recent operation police arrested in northeastern Tropoja district Alfred Gjergji, 32, considered as the main suspect for the murder of Mirash Preka. The crime was committed last month in capital Tirana.
Very often police also arrest people who threaten the lives of other people. Sefedin Satka, 30, and Bektash Satka, 59, were both arrested after they had threatened with a pistol a 28-year old man, injuring him.
But in some cases it takes time until police arrest the main suspect. In southernmost Saranda police are trying to arrest a person who killed Edmond Mullai.
