TIRANA, Nov. 6 – Three Italian-funded projects will help Albanian health industry get better equipped. Three projects with a cost of 7 million Euro were funded from the INTERREG III Albanian-Italy program with the help of the European Union. They were presented at the Albanian Health Ministry and would be applied in the next two years trying to improve the country’s health system. Vice Health Minister Arben Ivanaj said that the program guaranteed the fight against breast cancer and ovule, the possibility to make transplants and creating of a national epidemiological institution for infectious and chronicle illnesses, also for updating and training the health personnel. Ambrogio Aquilino, one of the managers of the projects, said better training and health management would significantly improve the health service in the country.
