TIRANA, March 23 – Albanian authorities have launched penal cases against three Italian citizens who were caught hunting illegally in the country.
Albania has passed a moratorium on stopping hunting in the next two years, in an effort to stop hectic and illegal hunting that has been damaging the country’ flora and fauna considerably.
The three Italians were found hunting at the Kun-Vain lagoon in Lezha in the north.
Police also stopped five Albanians accompanying the Italians.
These are considered to be the first arrests since the moratorium last month.
