Three Pakistani lost and found, feared of terrorist acts

TIRANA, Dec. 26 – Police reported Tuesdy that they had found three Pakistani persons who were considered lost since last week. Four Pakistani citizens entered the country. They were all youngsters in their 20es, but one of them. They were all invited by a trade union in the country. Shahzad Ahmed, 19, Ehsan Elahi, 24, Ghazanfar Abbaz, 25, and Muhammad Saleem, 50, belonged to Gazi Trade Union of Pakistan invited from the Albanian Independent Trade Union of Transport and its head Gezim Qato. They had visa only for three days stay in Albania and had to leave Dec. 23. They had obtained the visa in the Albanian embassy in Rome, Italy. But the three young ones left the hotel and only the elder one stayed and then let the country. Saleem also told Albanian counterpart Qato about their disappearance, who on his turn told police. The three Pakistani citizens were found Tuesday in Paskuqan. They said they would like to flee to Greece. Police also found out that the three of them had also stolen 100 euro from their elder colleagues.
Following their disappearance police distributed their pictures in all the border crossing points. They were not and did not belong to the Pakistani trade union. There were many alternatives discussed from the efforts of human trafficking to that of terrorist acts. Police said they were found in Paskuqan, without giving many details on the exact whereabouts and if any Albanian had helped them. They said they were making the normal procedure to deport them back to Pakistan.
