TIRANA, June 29 – Turkey’s military attaché in the Albanian capital, Tirana, has been awarded with a medal for the outstanding services he has offered during his stay in Albania.
Col. Saim Bagci, who just ended his term as Turkey’s military attaché in Tirana, was presented with a “medal of distinguished service” at a ceremony Tuesday at the Albanian Defense Ministry.
Albanian Defense Minister Arben Imami thanked Turkey for the support it had extended to his country for the last 20 years.
The minister considered relations between Turkey and Albania, as well as their defense ministries and general staffs at a perfect level, adding that Col. Bagci had contributed to the improvement of the friendship between the two countries and to the strengthening of the ties between Turkish and Albanian armies during his term of office in Tirana.
Col. Bagci said he had the opportunity to work closely with Albanian military officials throughout his duty in Albania.
“No matter where I am, I will always display efforts to improve the cooperation between Turkish and Albanian armed forces,” Bagci said.
