TIRANA, Aug. 2 – Almost three months after the May 8 local elections capital Tirana has already a new mayor, Lulzim Basha of the governing Democrats. That followed a long saga of a political fight, which is over now.
But during this time it seems that many people had considered it as anarchy and had tried to build as quickly as possible, without permission.
In what seems to be one of the first rulings of the new mayor, the city hall announced they had already noticed 67 illegal constructions in the capital and the owners have already asked to suspend work.
It also called on all the citizens not to start any illegal construction and also asks all of them to denounce if they see any.
The city hall set a telephone number, 04 24 19465, where they can call to denounce any illegal act.
