TIRANA, Sep. 29 – Albino Prudentino, an alleged member of the Sacra Corona Unita, ended Wednesday early morning in handcuffs during the operation of the police in Brindisi, Italy, in Albania and Thailand.
The District Attorney in Lecce had issued 11 custody orders for criminal association aimed at drug trafficking.
The arrest of Prudentino in Vlora was made possible thanks to the cooperation with the Albanian authorities.
Albanian prosecutor’s office and police cooperated in the case.
Prudentino ran an in Albania a small business activity with an ice cream shop.
At the center of investigations by the Italian special police were the multiple criminal activities of the Sacra Corona Unita clan operating in Brindisi municipalities of Brindisi, controlling the local drug market and a widespread extortion activities.
