Triglav acquires 9.9% of Albanian Albsig

TIRANA, April 22ؓlovenia’s largest insurer Zavarovalnica Triglav said it will acquire 9.9% of Albanian Albsig for 95.7 million leks (0.6 million euros, USD0.9 million), the local media reported.
Acquisition of Albanian insurer company is part of Triglav plans to extend its presence in the region; eyeing growth prospects.
Albsig has a market share of 7% in Albania, while its consolidated premiums amounted to 8 million euros (USD11.6 million) in 2008.
Triglav has a market share of 43% in Slovenia and also has units in Croatia, the Czech Republic, Bosnia, Serbia, Montenegro and Macedonia. Its consolidated premiums amounted to about 1 billion euros in 2008.
