TIRANA, April 13 – Turkey’s 2011 Eurovision representatives, rock band Yüksek Sadakat was in Albania from 10 to 11 April to promote their “Live it up” song as part of their promo tour.
In a reception held at the Turkish embassy in Tirana, Ambassador Hasan S. Asan congratulated both the Turkish and Albania representatives in the Eurovision song contest wishing them success.
Albanian Eurovision representative Aurela Gace called on Albania youth to vote the Turkish rock band with whom she performed during a concert in Amsterdam earlier this year. The Yüksek Sadakat band was also invited to perform their Eurovision entry in the Albanian public broadcaster, RTSH.
The 2011 Eurovision song contest is scheduled to be held from May 12 to 14 in Germany’s Dusseldorf.
Turkish representatives Yüksek Sadakat were internally chosen by the Turkish broadcaster TRT. Yüksek Sadakat was founded in 1997 by bas guitarist and lyricist Kutlu Özmakinacı. They first became popular in 2006 with their album by the same name of the group Yüksek Sadakat. They have won the Golden Butterfly TV Award in 2005 for best act and the İstanbul FM IFA award in 2006.
