TIRANA, Dec 16 – The Eagle Mobile telephone company, a subsidiary of the Turkish Calik Group, has reportedly had a good start in the Albanian market, attracting many clients with its aggressive pricing.
It started offering service in the country in March of this year. To date it has signed up some 130,000 clients with an increase of about 3,000 customers per day, according to company officials.
Murat Gurkas, Sales Manager of Eagle Mobile Company in Albania, says the company’s principle is to provide service of high quality at affordable prices.
“Our goal is to provide the best internet connection in Albania,” Gurkas said.
“Our company offers TV and internet services to mobile telephone users in Albania. Our Albanian clients can watch the programs from ten Albanian and foreign TV channels on their mobile phones,” Gurkas said.
The Turkish Calik Group won the privatization tender for Albanian Albtelecom at a cost of 120 million Euros. It also won the country’s third mobile operator, it named Eagle Mobile, in which it has already invested 26 million Euros.
