TIRANA, May 2 – The United Arab Emirates has initialed an “open sky” Air Services Agreement and signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Albania in Dubai.
The agreement was signed by Saif Mohammed Al Suwaidi, Director General of the UAE General Civil Aviation Authority, GCAA and Ernest Noka, Albania’s deputy minister of transport. The two delegations also held talks on the issue.
The two delegations agreed that a number of designated airlines will have the right to fly between the two countries _ Emirates Airline, Etihad Airways, Air Arabia, RAK Airways, and FlyDubai as UAE national airlines under the Agreement while from Albania there were set Albanian Airlines and Belleair.
The agreement allows full flexibility on the routes, capacity, frequency and types of aircraft on any type of service (passenger or cargo) on the routes between Albania and the UAE.
In addition, both parties agreed to allow unrestricted non-scheduled operations between the two countries.
