VLORA, Nov. 25 – Vlora city council awarded the Honored Citizen medal to the UNESCO deputy Director General Mounir Buchenaki and to the Albanian ambassador to UNESCO Tatjana Gjonaj for their contribution in including Albanian iso-polyphony in the world heritage issues a year ago. Buchenaki said that “now Albania is introduced with Gjirokastra, Butrinti and iso-polyphony in the world cultural heritage” adding that Berat would also be included very soon.
