WB, British Council promote good governance and accountability

TIRANA, Dec. 6 – World Bank Office in Albania and the British Council Albania invited all interested organizations, associations and institutions to submit innovative ideas that promote better governance and accountability in Albania, especially at local level.
Project proposals are expected to contribute to accountability and transparency at the national and local level; empowerment of interest groups (or advocacy groups); anti-corruption activities; civic education; public access to information; economic governance; national policies dialogue; participatory national and local budgeting; transparency and oversight over the use of budgetary resources; inclusion of civil society monitoring in public procurement; participatory processes on prioritization of local public investments; and monitoring of public service delivery.
The best proposals will receive grants from 5,000 USD to 10,000 USD per project.
