Worse weather leads to floods, infrastructure damage

SHKODRA, Nov. 30 – Authorities prepared to evacuate families from the northwestern district of Shkodra, part of which has been under water following heavy rains over past few days.
Buna River reached the pavement of the national road at the entrance of the city and some communes can no longer use small vehicles.
Authorities said they could not stop decision the water flow from the Vau i Dejes hydro power station, thus flooding thousands of agricultural land in the northwestern area.
Bad weather has caused problems in other areas in the north and other parts of the country.
