More than 100 Albanian publishing institutions will participate at the 12th edition of Book Fair “Tirana ’09” to be held on November 12th till November 16th at the Palace of Congresses. Chair of the Albanian Publisher Association, Petrit Ymeri said during a press conference that the event will be financially supported by the Ministry of Culture and the Municipality of Tirana. The special guest of this edition will be one of the most well-known Italian writers, Frederico Moccia, whose works have been translated in Albanian by “Dituria” publishing house.
When asked about new titles, Ymeri said that this year there are fewer Albanian books, because of the global economic crisis that has inevitably affected the publishing sector as well.
