BERAT, KORCA, Oct. 17 – Three policemen in the southern district of Berat were arrested and three others considered at large for corruption.
Following some months of investigation police found out that ten road polciemen took bribes from person who broke the driving rules in exchange of not punishing them.
They are accused of passive corruption.
In southeastern Korca Admir Burimi, 35, working at the labor inspectorate, was arrested also for corruption. He had asked for a 500,000 lek bribery from a businessman in the area in exchange of lifting a charge against him for not paying social insurance to his employees.
