TIRANA, Nov. 7- The Academy of Arts has hosted the 8th edition of the well-known opera vocal festival which has the name of the well-know Albanian performer , “Marie Kraja”. This important activity has become a tradition and this year interpreters form five continents have arrived in Tirana to compete, there are in total 22 performers, half of whom foreigners which will run for the big prize. They will each have the chance to perform in tow major arias one accompanied with piano and one form the philharmonic orchestra of the Academy of Arts with the Italian director Leonardo Quadrini. One of the special features of this edition is that the organizer of the festival, the association “Kultur뮍edia-Art”, has become member of the opera “Evropa”, headquartered in Brussels and the organizer of major opera festivals and competitions in the world. It reflects the art values of the European Union and has 104 members from 33 European countries. “Kultur뮍edia-Art” established and led by producer Zana ȥla is the only member from Albania. President of opera is Nicholas Payne who serves this year as head of the jury of the “Marie Kraja” festival.
