In the context of the UNESCO launched International year of Rumi, the cultural foundation “Saadi Shirazi” hosted a international conference dedicated to his personality and literature. Scholars form many countries addressed the role of Rumi in the Balkans. The conference had also an exhibition of his works translated din more than 25 languages, including to volumes in Albanian. But who is the Persian poet that has captured the hearts and minds of so many followers world wide, not only through literature but also through faith?
